"I started dancing in 1990 (ballroom and folk) and soon met Eric Jeurissen (of El Corte club in Nijmegen, the Netherlands).
Through Eric I discovered tango and knew right away that I had stumbled on something extraodinary. The music completely baffled me. And it still does.
In 2001 I felt the urge to do more with tango music and in 2002 I started DJ-ing in El Corte. Since then I have been DJ-ing in many other tango communities in the Netherlands as well as in Malta, Germany, England and Scotland.
I love tango from la epoca de oro, which is the golden age in tango. My absolute favourite is Francisco Canaro.
When I DJ I play mostly energetic and rhythmic music from this period, but every once in a while I like to play something special and maybe a little provocative. I don't want to see the dancers slip into a habitual way of dancing."
