Victoria Vieyra
Victoria Vieyra, a female dancer with a strong background in classical and contemporary dance, left her homeland Argentina, for Paris. She took part in a number of various international festivals, dancing with renowned partners of that era. Victoria performed with Mariano „Chicho” Frumboli, then with Pablo Veron, with whom she was invited to perform at the White House in Washington. Between 2002 and 2003 Victoria danced with Pablo Tegli, as soloist performers during the Gotan Project concerts. The two were also invited to participate in producing video clips for the group, and Pablo Tegli honored Warsaw with his visit during the tango festival held last year.
Fascinated with various means of artistic expression, Victoria not only performs as a dancer, but also produces many tango videos. She is presently enjoying universal recognition for her tango origins and is the pioneer of the present dance trend known as tango Nuevo. She is gifted with a great sense of humour and musical talent which makes her a unique figure among the best dancers of contemporary tango. This year, Warsaw will have the opportunity to admire her dancing together with the great Diego “El Pajaro”.
Diego "El Pajaro"
An Argentinean of many talents, Diego "El Pajaro", who finds fulfillment in dancing, music, painting and advertising, moved at a young age from Buenos Aires to Berlin. There he began his international tango career together with Mercedes Espinel. As a former percussionist, his rhythmic interpretation of tango, waltz and the milonga is exceptional and breathtaking. Gifted with enormous musicality and musical expression, this unequaled dancer with a remarkable talent for improvisation is a renowned artist, who is known all over the world for his quality and precision as a dance trainer. At present he lives in Lion, where he runs regular tango courses together with Esteban Moreno . This time Victoria and Diego will combine their extraordinary dancing skills, in order to amaze us with their musicality and unlimited possibilities of dance improvisation.
